Yes We Can… do all things through CHRIST!
Lately the phrase, “Yes We Can”, has given many people around the world a sense of empowerment and hope. However, this phrase has always been the response of Christians to Paul’s declaration in Philippians 4:13: “I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.” And the People of God say, “YES WE CAN!” Now that’s empowerment... do you have it?
The images below are from a recent shoot of my two new friends, DeMon and Chris. I hope you like the images but even more important, don’t miss the individual and collective message in the images. Be empowered!

LaTarsha + Marvin
LaTarsha and Marvin is one cool and laidback couple! They were down to try all ideas even when I asked them to sit on the ground. They were very easy to work with and I look forward to shooting their wedding next year.
I actually did their engagement session before I attended my photography workshop and bought my new toys but looking back at the images I was very pleased with the collection of photographs. Here are a few of my favorites:

Mya + Walter (09.06.08)
Congratulations to Mya & Walter and may God continue to richly bless your union. This was indeed a fun wedding to shoot. The time went by real fast. I guess the saying is true: time does fly when you’re having fun. And considering we captured over 1500 beautiful images, it seemed like the time spent picking out my favorites was longer than the time spent shooting the wedding. My 31st Birthday – Glory to God!
Thank God for allowing me to see another birthday!
I recently started re-reading, The Purpose Driven Life book and this morning I happened to be on Chapter 7: The Reason for Everything. This chapter and its’ study-verse surely reminded me that:
“Everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power, and everything is for His glory.” – Romans 11:36
Yes, I came from God. I live by His power and for His glory! On this 31st birthday, I would just like to give God all the honor and glory for using me, sustaining me, guiding me, blessing me, and allowing me to see another birthday! I am truly blessed and thankful for this day.

My New Toys!
As stated in my last post, I attended a photography workshop a few weeks ago, that was in my opinion a wise investment. It greatly enhanced my skills as a photographer and that was my first step in producing better images and products to my customers.
Improved Skills + What? = Improved Products and Services
This week, I have taken yet another in my journey of continuous improvement in this business and ministry. After extensive research, prayer, and money crunching, I decided to upgrade my primary camera to Nikon’s latest full-frame professional, digital SLR camera, the D700. I love many things about this camera but my favorite feature is the definitely the extended ISO range of 100 to 25,800 – allowing me to capture good quality images without a flash in low light situations. To add the icing on the cake, I also purchased one of Nikon’s fastest and sharpest lens, the 24-70mm f/2.8G lens.
I have a wedding shoot this weekend, so stay tuned for images from my new toys… I can’t wait for play time!

Cliff Mautner Skillset Workshop, Philadelphia
Last week I had the opportunity to attend a photography workshop with Cliff Mautner - who is rated "one of the top ten wedding photographers in the world" by American PHOTO Magazine. Cliff is an amazing photographer and teacher… a REAL down-to-earth guy. I really had a great time and learned A LOT!!!
